If so here's what to do.ġ) In windows control panel sounds disable all the input/output drivers everywhere except your internal sound card. You have a focusrite Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 Gen 1. So keep all of your audio device settings consistent across your platforms and projects and you shouldn't run into this problem. The solution here is to either switch your Windows audio interface settings to 16-bit, 48kHz or your Studio One project settings to 16-bit, 44.1 kHz.After discovering this hassle, I decided to make all my projects 16-bit, 44.1 kHz across the board so that I never have to deal with this problem again. BUT: Windows still thinks the audio should be 16-bit 44.1 kHz, so it doesn't like this very much and won't play any audio from youtube or anything. ![]() If I have a Studio one Project that's, say, 16-bit, 48kHz, when I open that project my Scarlett will automatically switch to that resolution-I can see this in my Scarlett Mixcontrol software, and a bunch of clicking and popping happens. Rightclick speaker in bottom right corner > Sound Settings > Related Settings > Sound Control Panel > Playback Tab > Click your interface (for example mine is Scarlett 18i20) then click > Properties > Advanced and look at Default Format. A problem I had was a conflict of Windows Audio settings vs my interface audio settings.which could also have to do with your individual project audio settings. ![]()
